The Catchment Management Authority has approved funding for half a kilometre of new fencing, weed spraying and replanting along Glennies Creek at the St Clair property.
There is currently lantana and African olive on the property which needs to be eradicated. Once the new fencing is established and the weeds are eradicated, we will then be able to plant native trees along the creek frontage and help prevent erosion.
The WNAC is also investigating potential grant opportunities with Caring for Country following advice from Leigh Pearson the Aboriginal Officer. If successful further work on the St Clair property could be done. |
